I met my boyfriend in an Air Canada plane in august 2012. We were seated next to each other. We clicked over our 12 hours flight and talked the whole way without sleeping or watching a movie. When it was time to go our own way and take our different connections, he asked for my contacts. I happily gave him my Skype, but I wasn’t expecting anything out of it. Who knew it would turn out the way it did.

We chatted daily and became close friends. He made it clear, 6 months in, that he wanted more, but I wasn’t interested in a long distance relationship, so I rebuffed him several times. In august 2013, in an attempt to win me over, he flew to my city.

It worked.

We’ve been in a great long distance relationship since then. *Updates* We closed the distance the 2016-04-16! He now lives 5 minutes away from my place!

These drawings started as gifts for my boyfriend (who I lovingly dub Airplane guy) to make long distance relationship bearable. I would draw precious memories we shared together so that even though the distance separated us, we were inseparable in my drawings.

This blog documents a part of my life that I cherish and that I hope will last a long time.

I like the nickname you gave him-Airplane guy. Witty. xD
And the way you two met is really interesting. I don’t think I’ve seen this anywhere around the blogosphere so far. You’ve won me over. Will be following this.
